Feasibility Study for a Center for Continuing Education New York University – Abu Dhabi
Objective
New York University (NYU) in New York has a number of excellent professional programs and courses. However, not all these courses could be offered at NYU Abu Dhabi as regular degree programs because of the limited enrollment of full-time students. However, NYU and the government of Abu Dhabi want to understand the local learning and development needs of the industry to offer some of these courses as professional and continuing education offerings. The challenge is to identify the needs of the local industry and the corresponding course provisions from NYU.
Our Approach
Edu Alliance conducted an extensive market feasibility study for its proposed center of continuing education, “Torch AD.” This study considered UAE and region-specific issues, including supply-demand, USPs, market challenges and opportunities, and regional competition related to continuing education, executive education, leadership development, and other related potential offerings.
Results and Benefits
Edu Alliance turned the robustly collected data into business intelligence through an on-the-ground understanding of the national and regional nuances. Proposed specific courses in social work, nursing leadership, Ed.D, Sports Management, and Executive Education. Many of these recommendations are now being implemented at NYUAD – TorchAD.
